Here at the
Building Trades Program we teach youth a hands-on survey course in the building
trades; including plumbing, electrical, painting, landscape maintenance, and
carpentry.
The Building
Trades Program (BTP) teaches social services and court involved youth a
hands-on survey course in the building trades, including plumbing, electrical,
painting, landscape maintenance, and carpentry. The main trade focus of the training is carpentry.
We work throughout Baltimore
City proper; primarily for citizens and organizations that are concerned with
and acting upon issues of social justice in the neighborhoods of the youth that
participate in our program. This helps us to realize our goal to
effectively bolster the efforts of these entities. Our skills-based training
provide our participants with the tools necessary to positively impact the
social and economic vitality of Baltimore neighborhoods.
