The New Whitelock St. Farm Shed has been Completed!

The doors are on and cleanup is done. The Chesapeake Center for Youth Development's Building Trades Program participants have completed their largest newly constructed structure! As seen below the new shed is 12ft x 8ft x approximately 18 feet tall. Check out the photos and captions below to find out the details.

Here the guys are building a 3ft. wide ramp for the shed

The ramp was designed to have a gentle incline so that a fully loaded wheelbarrow could be rolled up it without much difficulty.

Here a student is fabricating the door which was designed to be 3ft wide to accommodate the entrance of large, cumbersome materials into the shed.
The site built door has two deadbolts for increased security.

  1. This is incredible! I hadn't realized the size of the thing until I saw someone standing next to it. Niiiice job! I like the transparent section at the top-front. Natural light makes for cheap electric bills. You and your guys are talented! keep up the posts!
